The following notes were shared with the Mayor and Council of the Town of Myersville on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

The 2020 Outdoor Season is less than 40 days away (39 to be exact.)
We still have 2 more Indoor Farmers Markets remaining.

We’re averaging 12 vendors per Indoor Market, including 2 veggie vendors, plus vendors selling eggs, honey, jams and jellies, local wines, and a few artisans.

Vendors are still responding if they plan to participate on March 21, but one of our new vendors, Good Gracious Gardens, will be there selling Spinach and garden transplants (plant starts.)

Our last Indoor Market will be on April 4.
There will be no Farmers Market Easter Weekend, April 11.

The 2020 Outdoor Season will open on April 18 and so far we have 23 vendors committed, including Whistle Punk Farm Food Truck who will be serving hot breakfast/brunch at the market each week.
(There are about 7 vendors who we assume will return but have not submitted applications yet.)

The market is always looking for additional fruit and vegetable/foods vendors, and some space is also available for crafters selling products not already available.
Applications are available on our website, myersvillefarmersmarket.com, for anyone who is interested.
For participation on Opening Day, your application must be received by March 27.

Announcing Indoor Farmers Markets http://www.myersvillefarmersmarket.com/2019-mifm-announcement Thu, 14 Nov 2019 19:20:25 +0000 http://www.myersvillefarmersmarket.com/?p=3439 Read more ›]]> The  Myersville Farmers Market is very fortunate to be able to move indoors during the colder months of the year.  Please join us on the first and third Saturdays of each month beginning this Saturday, November 16, 2019 and running through April 4, 2020.

The purpose of these indoor markets is to build awareness of the Myersville Farmers Market as well as relationships between the artisans, crafters, and farmers with their customers, and the community.

Indoor markets are held during the Lions Club of Myersville (1st Saturdays) and Fire Company (3rd Saturdays) All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfasts, from 7 AM to 10:30 AM.  You’ll find these indoor markets in the Myersville Volunteer Fire Company Banquet Hall, located at 301 Main Street, Myersville, Maryland 21773.

These indoor markets are open to vendors who participated in our regular outdoor season during 2019, as well as a few special guests.  While indoor markets in November and December will focus on vendors selling great gift items for the holidays, seasonal produce and other local foods will be available.  After the New Year our focus shifts to healthy eating and local living with baked goods, meats, eggs, and seasonal produce available, as well as goods from local artisans and crafters.

Here’s the full list of dates:  November 16, December 7 and 21, January 4 and 18, February 1 and 15, March 7 and 21, and April 4.

Saturday, December 7 is the Christmas in Myersville celebration with a “mini-book sale” by the Friends of the Myersville Library, Lions Club breakfast, and Myersville Indoor Farmers Market in the morning (all in the Banquet Hall), and the annual Christmas parade later in the day.

Saturday, December 21 is Breakfast with Santa also occurring in the Banquet Hall during the Myersville Volunteer Fire Company AYCE Country Breakfast, in addition to the Myersville Indoor Farmers Market.

Please help spread the word, and join us this Saturday, and each of the remaining Saturdays throughout our indoor season.
